Thumbs up Quarter Mile Track time

Took my car to the track during V2LAB Mystery Meat 4 at the Orlando Speedway to see what she can do on the quarter mile.
12.209 seconds @ 125.09 mph
Let me know what you think.

Settings were all S3 in MDM mode, waited for the light and floored it just as it turned green. Encountered a bit of wheel spin before they caught.
(by the way the guy in the right lane was in a Honda).

This was my first time at the track.

Is that stock (560 or 600hp competition) or built with the mods you have in your signature?

bro thats a monster trap speed for a stock car, some modded cars haven't gone that fast!! Just so you know in drag racing its all about how you start, so your 60ft is really slow due to traction issues. The rule of thumb is 1 tenth off the bottom gets you 2 tenths on the top. Your car with some drag rubber would pull about a 1.7 or so 60ft, that would get you about 11.2 or so for your et with that mph you have!! You would by far have the quickest stock power m6 and be quicker than 90% of the modded cars. I think only 2 cars have made 10sec runs

LOL... with those modes (especially Intake and Exhaust and Dinan stage 2) it's not stock anymore dude.

I believe the numbers you got are good, but you must be able to get better numbers. Did you have traction issue? Next time you need to try some softer compound tires like Nitto or even R888

These are the numbers from magazines for stock M6:
Motor Trend - M6 Coupe: 12.1 second @ 123 mph
C&D - M6 GC : 11.7 second @ 124 mph
I know those are the best results after several tests and depend on the condition and drag races, but if you can get good traction, I believe you must be at mid to high 11's and 126-127 mph

Yes, I was spinning tires for a couple feet, easily could have shaved a 1/2 second off if I had good traction.
As you can see in the take off video....

Yup... you could have done better jump. You need better tire. Go for Nitto NT05 305/30/20 or Toyo R888 315/30/20 and you will have much better numbers
I had 305/30/20 MPSS for about 10 months and replaced them with Nitto NT05 which is semi slick last week. The grip is fantastic. R888 is a slick tire and is 70% softer than Nitto... I bet not only you'll shave 1/2 second, but also you'll pick another 2 mph trap speed

Thanks for the input!
Do you have to do a quick "burn out/ dust off" before you get to the line or are these tires sticky enough to just start from the line?
Also, have you seen better results with launch control?

I have never been in any drag track and have no personal experience, but based on my limited knowledge all of these tires must be at optimal temperature to deliver their maximum performance so the answer to your question is yes! you need to burn them out before going to the line.
As far as launch control since I have enough daily launches () I figured out the best launch is not Launch Control since there is lots of wheel spinning, fish tailing and even sideway going. To me the best launch (and I got 0-60 in 3.6 second) was Sport+ on everything/S3 and DSC OFF. you need to modulate the throttle (not floor it) up to 4-5K RPM in first gear and let the car get some traction and move. Upon hitting 4-5K RPM you have to floor it ... and right at 7k upshift to the next gear...
But please don't turn the DSC OFF on street. DSC OFF is extremely dangerous and you need to have enough confidence and experience to control this big monster in case of losing control so just do it when you are in race/drag track and not public street.

Thanks for your advice! I'll have to try DSC off in a secure environment just to see how she reacts. With the added torque from the tune the car does tend to go a bit sideways if too much acceleration is applied.

That is an insane 0-60 time!

I'd like to know the optimal temperature for the tires on a drag track given that the car shows the temperature of all 4 wheels (if it is truly accurate).
