front camber adjustment
from what i understand camber is not adjustable, also I could not locate a 'pin' to allow for adjustments to be made (like an M4). any ideas?
Both BMW and Dinan offer a negative camber control arm but it is a fixed amount and does not allow for additional adjustments/fine tuning. i am talking to Ground Control about working on developing something for adjustable camber as they are close enough for me to drive to. update: working with ground control to get some plates made
I am heading up Wednesday for measurements on my car, and they will start working on a prototype, hopefully have something in a month or so.
I always like to help those that help out - would anyone be interested in a set of front adjustable camber control arms? Last edited by gandalfthewhite; 10-07-2015 at 06:31 PM.. |

I had the same problem when I lowered my car on H&r springs, so in order to get my camber corrected to BMW specs I used above product from kmac. The company is in Australia and ships fast, I also have an extra set still new in box. Website: www.k-mac.com

A lot of the F chassis vehicles came with the optional upper control arm. You wouldn't know if you needed it until time came for an alignment. I also wish that more companies would come out with adjustable suspension parts for the M5/M6 platform |

control arms
Thanks....on the control arms bmw are cheaper but not sure its as much negative camber as Dinan - can you confim? I'd probably go with Dinan to get more "built-in" negative camber.
BMW front camber spec is -1.3 to -0.5 and Dinan recommends -1.3 (right now I have -0.6) bmw part # ($340 x 2 = $680) (per RealOEM the M arms are different than 650 arms which have -30min equals 30/60 = -0.5 degrees) 31122284979 (L) - 20min (equals 20/60 = - 0.33 degrees) 31122284980 (R) - 20min (equals 20/60 = - 0.33 degrees) Dinan ($1199) D160-0005 (says - 0.6 degrees) soon there should be track/home adjustable camber 'wishbone' (control arms)....I'll find out more as they do development in the coming month. BTW Roadrage - thanks I looked at site, waiting to hear back... Last edited by gandalfthewhite; 10-07-2015 at 06:33 PM.. |
