2013 BMW M6 F13 // Riding on Accuair

I placed an order today for the Accuair e-Level Air Management System w/ Touchpad.

There are a couple reasons for this...

- I am on my 3rd carbon fiber Vorsteiner Aero-Blade as there are locations in my city that crunch them.

- I have also scraped the living hell out of my front lip and I can foresee it breaking or burning through the carbon fiber underneath at some point.

- The car is going to look pretty slick parked at shows and cruise ins laying on the ground.

I will probably sell my KW HAS Kit once I get the Accuair system installed so if you are looking for a KW HAS Kit hang tight and we can make a deal once I have it off the car and boxed up.

I have yet to see an M6 on air so I could be the first. Then again there might be someone out there but I can't seem to find them. I can't wait to see how this thing looks laid on the ground.

So much awesomeness !!!
I'm a huge fan of vehicles on air
I have a truck I built and was invited to SEMA 3 years ago, what a cool experience. You could show your M6 at SEMA this year easily !! Ever thought about that ?

I'm not a fan of the whole "air out and touch the ground thing" but I do wish at times I could move my suspension up and down when I need to. I have to admit I've thought about these systems briefly just for that reason but only briefly. Anyways I'm excited to see where you take this Brian. Keep us posted.

What sparked me to look into the air management system is the point when I broke my 2nd side aero blade (I started researching the same day). At ~$1,000 a pop for each side blade I am currently at $3,000 on just the passenger side aero blade. My front lip has taken a beating underneath as well because the parking exits around my city are steep. I literally have to take up the whole width of the exit ramp to pull out sideways (I am sure it pisses people off).

Also... Why not have some fun and lay it on the ground as well... lol!

I think if someone wanted to use my car in their exhibit I would allow them to do it as long as they paid transport fees. But other than that it's a pretty far trip to bring it out there and wouldn't be worth the money in my eyes.

Btw... I have never been to SEMA but this year I am going to attend. I can't wait to continually wipe drool off my chin looking at all the beautiful cars.

^^^ I agree with this, I'm not a huge fan of air but it does look great and serves an important practical purpose.

the car looks amazing already, can't wait to see it with the Accuair! Hopefully most of the handling qualities are retained with it just don't slam it like those Hellaflush cars and we're solid, good luck with the set bro! Excited for pics

Interesting... I got the kit today and the struts don't just have airbags on them. The struts are from Megan Racing and are adjustable coilovers "with" an airbag also installed on the upper portion of the strut.

I guess I didn't know what to think of and was under the impression the spring was replaced completely with the airbag which isn't the case. This is a good thing though because I will still retain a static spring rate from the coilover which should yield great performance coupled with an airbag to raise/lower the car.
