After 300 miles in the 6 Series GC 640D M Sport ( same size as the M6 GC) I can say, the boot is 1" shorter with the same width,my M5 boot liner goes in with a slight turn-up at the front. The rear nee room is much better than my M5, and rear seats are good+ they fold down.
M-Comfort seats are required (for me anyway) as the STD Sport seats are crap.
NO problems getting it in the Garage.
Over all Me likes.

That's a good discount! Is that linked to taking the finance option?

OK, so some of the 'discount' will be offering a good price for yours in PX, but that's still a very good chunk off!

I did not have a car to PX and could not get that much off, but I did get 4 years 0% finance with minimal deposit.

You did ok, I was offered the M6 GC CP for 34K off for a cash purchase, but I had to PX Mine so
I am waiting for one more combined PX/cash total tomorrow or Friday before "biting the bullet" it all depends on the Cash adjustment.
Will keep you posted.

Also what others mention, the GC has folding rear seats and the M6 doesn't and you have the exclusivity factor. The folding seats come in handy for extra trunk space as you cant really put much on the M6 coupe rear seats. Plus you were already looking at a CLS which is a 4 door. If you are keeping the 535 or have another 4 door go with the coupe. Two door is obviously sportier than a 4 door. You have already made a good decision already by not going with the CLS , now just weighing out the 2 door vs 4 door.
I am receiving 2015 s550 this summer and also have an audi SUV in my family.
So, i dont really care about 4 doors. I am trying to figure out which one looks better

The coupe looks better IMO, but I need seats 4 of them.
But I do not intend to spend "Silly Money" on an M6 GC CP, I hope for a good deal or I "Pass".

Based strictly on aesthetics, I would go for the coupe but I maybe biased.

List price for an M6 GC with no options is £98,125 which is about $164,500. Add a few half decent options and you can easily get to £115,000 ($192,800), fully loaded with Individual paint (but not 'fully' individual paint and upholstery) and you're up to £134,995 ($226,350).

There are however, substantial discounts to be had.

Double wow.

Huge price differences between the UK and US. It must be the taxes you guys pay in England.

Thanks Richard, but wowwwww. it's so expensive over there... and in top of that you have to pay for expensive gas! a well equipped one is about $130,000 here(including tax)! what about maintenance? we have zero maintenance program here for 4 years/50,000 miles that includes everything except tire.even oil and brake pads are covered

Sounds like in my home country (I am originally from the Dominican Republic) where cars are anywhere between 1.5-2x as expensive as the US because of import taxes. I remember when I moved here I was very happy to find out that an M6 is actually less here than a 640i was back home. M6s back home start at US$180,000 without any options. I still have a 550i back there I use whenever I visit that cost me almost as much as my M6 did here and a GL550 that sells for about as much as a 911 Turbo. Prices are ridiculous. You would think that with prices that high (on top of being a third world country) there would be no exotics there, yet I see more Ferraris per square mile on a Saturday night there than I do an entire weekend driving around Miami. Not to mention the occasional Carrera GT, Enzo, etc. I even know someone who's expecting his 918 Spyder any day now.

You can purchase a maintenance pack for 5 years/50,000 miles that covers routine servicing, including the 1,200 mile service, for £1000 (price may vary, but that's what I paid). This does not cover 'consumable parts' like brake pads etc. just standard oil service and inspections (I'm not sure about coolant and brake fluid change, must check!).

I got you. The same thing for me. I see lots of high performance cars back home and people buy them in CASH! M cars are prohibited over there, but For example F13 650i is about $400,000. Panamera/SL550 are about $350,000 and 911 Carrera about $300,000.

BMW UK Are offering such a good deal on this at the moment, that you can actually get it for around the same or slightly less than an M5 in you push hard.

Until today, I was considering the M5 and X5M50D - Now I've seen the retail offer and a fairly decent finance rate, the M6 GC has trumped the M5 I think. Have an appointment with the dealer at the weekend to do some drives to see what deal they will come up with, which will obviously be with the whole contribution being offered initially, and any more on that from their margin depending on how badly they want to shift one.

The contribution offer has just over a month left to run, and you have to be in the car by a certain date for it to apply.

Its such a lovely looking car, and I think would stand out much more than an M5, but an M5 really isn't a stand out car, more understated. The M6 is the only M car I have never owned, so another reason to get one.

Finance deals end up being cheaper than the M5 or X5 anyway, so its just the running costs.

Insurance quote was £330 for the M6, £320 for the M5 and £550 for the X5.

It's all about preference. I'm not much of a coupe person.
