Alarm bleep when locked

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Guys I have a UK supplied 640d WITHOUT comfort access.

I can't get the alarm to bleep when I lock the car with the remote so I have no audible signal that it's locked.

Any suggestions?

Garage List
It never beeps even after pressing the Roundel once? This may or may not be the case, but once you lock the car and have the initial beep, subsequent pressing of the button will not cause the car to make any noise (like a lot of cars that will continue beeping/honking if you press the lock button again after the car has already locked). This probably doesn't help...

Page 35 in the Owner's Manual has the setting for the acoustic signal the car is locked.

My recently delivered UK car is silent too; I don't recall seeing a setting to change this..
