Trade - Audi TT with 95k miles, 12500
My price for 650gc - 86125, 12K off sticker
Out the door - 93300

Dealer made -1975 (meaning they lost money on the deal)

Congrats again

While I would not lose sleep, I don't want the dealer losing money on every transaction - because soon they won't be around. I think the "tricks" they like to play (kicking up the money factor on leases, etc.) make us hate them - but overall, they are in the business of making money. I do wish however, that we could have all direct sales with the selling price being the selling price and no haggling. I think that everyone would win there (some would pay more, some would pay less - a lot less). Not sure why buying a car is the one thing that transacted so very different here in the US.

Back on topic.. where are the pictures?

Unfortunately the automotive dealerships have the benefit of some very archaic franchise laws and political clout. Here in NJ, rules were recently passed to further limit Tesla's ability to directly sell cars in the state, all for the purpose of protecting automotive dealerships.

I don't mind the current set up and the price negotiations but I could really do without the 20 minutes grilling of the finance guy of why I need to buy a number of different protection products when I am just minutes away from driving off the lot in my new car.

Very Nice! Great color combo! Just picked up the same car myself. I'm glad we're all spaced well apart from each other, otherwise the place would be lousy with Black & Red Gran Coupes! Enjoy and thanks for the picts!
