Talking New Member, 1st Bimmer

Hello,
I’m a new member to this forum, and just purchased a very slightly used, totally awesome, San Marino Blue M6 Gran Coupe with Opal White Interior, the competition package, and carbon ceramic brakes, and only 1,400 miles...what a beauty!
I’m looking for advice on mods and better tires, as I’m not so impressed the with Pirelli P-Zero tires that came with the car...I need something stickier!
I ordered an RW Carbon kit to make the car more sporty and sleek looking, can’t wait for it to come, and am considering adding some HP

I tried to post some pics, but this website says the pics are too big, and I don’t know how to,shrink the files from my iPhone

Bootmod3 tune, downpipes, Toyo R888R 315/30/20, maybe lowering springs and spacers and you're all set

Pics! Try using an app that resizes the images

Now, Let’s see if I can do this, lol

Very nice colour combo - I had my eye one one almost the same (non-CP) but couldn't agree on price with the dealer.

The Opal white leather looks spectacular but I do have reservations about how well it would wear. An M4 I spotted at my local dealer with only 1400 miles had it and the driver side bolsters looked quite grubby (dirty)

I'd either be sitting on a towel if wearing jeans or simply avoid jeans altogether.

I'm sure you'll enjoy your M6 GC ownership. They are a very pretty/handsome car - quite the head turner.

Tyre wise - are Michelin Pilot Sport 4S' available in the USA? They get rave reviews and a popular choice here in the UK

Looking at your photos I'm desperate for spring to arrive here in the North of the UK. It's the 4th April and it's snowing outside right now

Stunning kit, the more and more i see of SMB makes me sad that ordered a black one.

A friend has the opal white and its a pig to keep clean, thankfully residue does clean off easily

If it were my car i would 100% keep stock, the way in which Munchen finest intended, its a personal call !!

I'll second that. (Stickier rubber aside)

Fantastic looking car! I always kick myself when I see a light colour interior, you can really admire the craftsmanship of full leather with the contrast compared to a full black interior.

Thanks Guys!
I really do love it, and I’m not going to mod too much.
Adding RW carbon fiber splitter, rear spoiler, and rear diffuser, as well as a few more CF bits.
After that, maybe a cold air intake and a tune to get some more power
Definitely gonna change the rubber to MPSS or MP4S for more grip!
Love the competition exhaust, and the carbon ceramic brakes...the car is pretty wild!
I’m up for the challenge with the white interior...
I purchased GTechniq leather cleaner and protectant, and hope to treat the interior this weekend. I was going to try the CQuartz, but I read on many websites not to use on white or light interiors, and GTechniq seems to be made for light interiors. It doesn’t seem to get dirty easily, but certainly cleans up easy as well.
Any thoughts or advice is appreciated.

Thx, I found it on AutoTrader, with a clean CARFAX, One Owner, only 1,350 miles on the odometer, and purchased it based solely on pictures from a BMW dealer in the MidWest, and had it shipped in a covered trailer to South Florida where I live.
It’s a 2016 M6 GC with competition package, executive package, drivers package, carbon ceramic brakes, opal white full leather individual interior, and those rims are 20” comp package only rims. What a unique car!
I paid $85,000 for before taxes, registration, and fees
I thought it was a great deal as the MSRP on this loaded model was $149,000 and it was literally never used!
I have 2 years of warranty and maintenance left on it!
Couldn’t be happier

Believe it or not, I was looking for a Sakhir Orange M6 with competition package and black wheels when I saw this one and fell in love. I was searching for a total of about 2 months and test drove 3 of them and knew I had to have the comp package

It really is shocking how much these cars depreciate, with 1350 miles it's literally only just completed its first run in service and almost halved in value!
I always do wonder how people can swallow the depreciation on these cars. I get that thew majority are now on PCP and that cash sales are almost unheard of. Always good for us in the second hand market though
