purchase Qs
I'm interested in picking up a 2016 M6 coupe with cp. I hope to have a few questions answered.
1)Looking at a car with cp, perf exhaust, full leather, executive package, but is missing driving and parking assistance. The car had a MSRP of 140k, should I be concerned about those missing packages? 2)What would be a good price for this above car? It also did not have ccb, which I do not want. 3)What can I expect from a BMW inspection? Will they indicate if the car has been tuned or modified? Ill be looking to get a extended warranty. |

1. Are you asking for yourself or the next buyer? The next buyer may care more than you do. Living in an urban area, I find parking assistance to be critical for such a big car. The most useful feature of Driving Assistance to me is blindside detection, but it's also a function of living in a congested urban area. I rarely use HUD or lane detection. I do keep the emergency stop feature on, though there are faulty parts of the system.
3. They're checking the physical parts of the car, not the DME. But they will be able to tell you if you're even eligible for BMW extended warranty. They'll also tell you if car's been in an accident. I think for 2016, an inspection might be overkill. The car's likely been in BMW servicing within the last 11 months, so they would have fixed any issues, plus it's still under new car warranty. Your only concern is detecting accident history. And all this is moot if you're buying this car from a BMW dealership as a CPO.

I'll agree with FlyingAce on Q1; personally, if I'm paying that much for a car (140), then why the heck not have a system that can help you avoid accidents and help you park properly?
As for your concern of missing packages -- a fully loaded vehicle vs a vehicle with some of the options, has better bargaining power for the Seller (generally). Value: without a list of the options (a vin will help here) and the number of miles we can't really assess the vehicle's value. CMON MANNNNNNN |

on the other hand, without the side view cameras it'll me a hell of a lot easier replacing your front reflectors!

Car fax indicates its a corporate car. Safe to assume the car been treated worse then a single owner car? I'm a bit annoyed that a newer expensive car doesn't have blind spot assist. Might be backing away from this one.
