Full software update & heat protect campaigns

Been having some issues with the radio station starting to the lowest FM (87.7) at times and the screen not going back to the last screen. I have the SO F12 convertible 2013 build date of 9/12.

Found out that there was a BMW campaign on the radio station and also a Heat Protection Mat to Coolant Lines campaign # 0011450300 for F6, F10, F12, F13. The Heat Insulator is SIB 111714. Which they performed.

Most importantly, in order to fix the screen not going back to where you left it required a complete vehicle software update which took 2 days.

Not sure if any of you are having similar issues but the software update seems to fix the problem so far and you may want to check out the current campaigns and see if your vehicle qualifies. Just a heads up.
Thanks

Thanks for heads up. The last time my car was in service for software update took less than one day! maybe 4-5 hours and couple hours for heat protection...

They did a complete SW update. Had to reset all my profiles. I basically told them to fix it because the issue been going on for 8 months now so perhaps they were a little cautious. I didn't know about some of these issues and campaigns. Glad you got your done.

If the software took 2 days...then the factory diagnostic computer was losing internet connection. They way programming works at the dealership is the diagnostic connects to Germany online and after communicating to your vehicle it extracts the correct programming that is required. Since this is all done online, any internet connection break etc, the task needs to be restarted
It is a pain sometimes.

Not sure when they were launched. Best bet is to contact your dealer.
Thanks
