Is Sport Plus rev limited until run in service?

Playing with the various settings on the motorway yesterday I noticed that when shifting the engine mode from sport to sport plus there seemed to be a dead throttle spot, almost like it was rev limited. Switching back down to Sport and the power was back in earnest. Tried a few times and the same thing. This is a new 2015 model.

Is this normal pre run-in service or should I be worried?

Sorry if I should RTFM

Mine reacts more aggressive in sport rather than sport plus...I find it odd

What do you call the 'Engine Mode'?

The adjustments are :

Throttle Sensitivity
Gear Change
Steering Weight
Traction Control

No setting changes the engine itself, unlike the E6x M cars.

Can't say I've noticed any setting that caused what you describe, but I didn't use anything other than comfort while running in.

Not normal in running in IMO, I ran the LCI M5 in sport+ all the time (not over 5.5K RPM) and it went like stink.
