Personalized plates?
Do you like them? Who has one and what did you choose?
In California, we have a number of special interest plates and a portion of the plate fee supports the organization and program (ie. parks, coast, arts, veterans, etc...). You can choose to have a sequentially assigned number or personalize your plate. I always get the Yosemite plate on my cars and currently, one is sequential and the other personalized. What I wanted for the M6: MT NEST. However, an online search came up taken. Second choice was available and I snagged it: MPRUDNT. |

We don't get much choice in the UK, the plate has to conform to various sequence standards. This was the best I could think of for my M6 GC.

Not a fan of personalized plates as I used to be.
Food for thought: they are easier to remember than a normal plate, and (cough cough) that could work against you. Another is if you use something snotty, "look how rich I am", kind of stuff it can attract the wrong attention or vandalism. |

If you don't know what it means: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ligaf" rel="ugc" target="_blank">http://<a href="http://www.urbandict...term=ligaf</a>

I have the plate of "420HP" on my 2006 Jeep SRT. It was a conversation at the DMV for sure when I asked for this and they were not going to give it to me. I finally asked if they wanted me to pull up the horsepower on the vehicle so they knew I was referencing my vehicle (and not weed).
So what I am saying is... Buuuuuuuullshit your way through it and make sure your story is solid. Brian

The most expensive number plate ever sold by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority in Britain is 25 O bought this week by a Ferrari trader for £518,000. To save you doing the maths that's US$ 783,475.00 !!!!!!
Prancing Horse collector and dealer Talacrest snapped up the rare registration for its Ferrari 250 SWB once owned by musician Eric Clapton. |
