TPMS Coding!!

I am having a new winter wheel fitted with my Michelin Alpin PA4 20" tyre, I damaged one, I have the new wheel ready.

Listers BMW have said I need the TPMS coded to the wheel
at an extra cost of course , but why?. Anyone.
Whats to code?>

They are just charging you a fee for the initialization of the sensor.
No coding required for a new sensor.
Install sensor, adjust tire pressure, reset TPM system and confirm each wheel electronic is acknowledged by the control module.

Yep as I thought, nothing to do, I am not even taking my car in to have the wheel changed over, they are just trying to rip me off.

Hard to believe they are charging you to initialize the new sensor. Talk about nickel and diming a customer. What a shitty dealership.

Problem is most tire places don't have the means to initialize our sensors. The local tire store here said they have a badass device and it cannot even initialize our sensors.

Find another dealership dude.

The laugh is Brian, the Sensor has come off the car it's going back on.
PS) How can they initialise a sensor without the car being there?.
