Finally after two months

Car arrived early May, unfortunately I have been away with work over the last few weeks not ideal especially after waiting for two months! I have posted a few photos of some the cars i test drove which is all part of the fun buying a new car

Close call between the 911 4s and M6, but after a four day test drive in the M6, I was convinced M6 was the car for me Initially i could not decide between the CG and Coupe, but in the end i opted for the coupe as 95% of the time i have no passengers. The next big decision was Colour, so I travelled up and down the country looking at demos. Choice between San Marino Blue, Silverstone and AW. After seeing the San Marino Blue in the flesh decision made! The colour is absolutely stunning, especially in the sunshine.

Std car is already well specced, so i only added rear view camera, Speed limit display, soft close doors, Internet and 20" wheels. I could not justify £6k for the full Leather, but I have to admit it looks absolutely amazing and i would like BMW to explain why is the Leather dash a no cost option on the normal 6 series. and a cost option on the M6

I normally get my cars detailed, prior to collection to avoid the dealer running it through the same process as the base 1 series. Unfortunately timings did not work, but Gareth has done an amazing job on the San Marino blue post collection

I have only driven 500miles so far, but I'm looking forward to the running in service

enjoy the pics

Looks great! Pick mine up in a couple hours which is the same but I have gone for full individual leather. Btw the leather dash is not even an option on the M6, as it is on normal 6, with the M it is full leather or nothing!

Enjoy!

Looks splendid....but then I'm biased as it's almost like looking at my car. The buying process is great isn't it - almost addictive. In fact, some would say with me, it is

Anyway, I do keep toying with the idea of a C4S, but every time I go and look at one it just doesn't feel anywhere near as special add my M6 so I don't think I'll ever be able to bring myself to do it. The M6 is an almost irreplaceable car currently....as I've said before, maybe the new AMG GT or S63 coupe will compare in future but currently, theres not a lot that compares. Most people don't even try the M6 and simply discount it as overpriced or not very good (hence I don't think it has the best reputation amongst 'enthusiasts'); the reality is very different for those (like all of us) who actually step outside of the box and try it.

I've previously owned a 997 Turbo but I've never driven a 991 - I expect the Porsche does drive better (?) than the M6 so I'm keen to know more about how the M6 compares with the Porsche?

I love the buying experience, but it varies so much between different dealers. Rybrook BMW have been exceptional, always prepared to go the extra mile Porsche were also fantastic, but it helps if you know the Salesman. In my case he is Ex BMW Audi were awful, didn't have a demonstrator and could not be bothered to get hold of one not great

I had two extended drives in a 911, I was most impressed with the Grip the 4s but down and on the B roads due to the smaller size and less weight the car was more nimble, and I suppose more precise. PDK was great but I would debate if its as good as the DCT. Biggest negative for me is the technology felt very dated and the cost of options was outrageous

New 911 Turbo looks amazing, but £130k +

Congrats on the car choice, enjoy.
How snappy does the car feel even though it's new?.

Sick Combo. - 991 Carrera 4S is awesome but M6 is miles above it.
