New M6 GC to go with my 991!

Was in the market for a new sedan to replace my 2011 Panamera Turbo and was seriously considering (and even ordered) a new refreshed 2014 Panamera Turbo. However, once I drove it for a while, I was a bit bored (I have a 991 Carrera S also) and once I drove the M6 Gran Coupe I fell in love! The interior is incredible, the technology is really a step ahead and the car is so fast. The DCT is very similar to the Porsche PDK (a good thing) and really drives well in either straight auto mode and comes alive in manual mode. I can't wait for break-in to be done! Here is a pic of my 991 (Agate grey) and the M6 GC (Singapore Grey). As for options, I got B&O (amazing, even better than my Burmester in my Panamera and in my 991), Executive, Driver's Assistance and full leather. Just love this car.

I see you have the same color - amazing paint and have been getting a ton of compliments on it. Love your wheels too!

So in your opinion M6 GC is better than Panny?
Cause to explain why?

I love that floor! Makes the garage look even more refined than a Porsche and M car already bring to the room.

I loved the Panamera - it was great, but it was a 2011 and a lot has changed in that time, and the new Panamera was not a big enough jump forward, which led me to try the M6 GC. Once I drove it, it was so fun and exciting, and decided to make the change. Have not regretted it for a second since.

Thanks - here is a pic of the garage with my old 997 GTS. I have a new 991 GT3 coming in a few months, so that should look great in there.

Congrats! Just did the opposite. Ditched the F10 M5 to get a 991 to go with my F12 cab.

Coldlist - gorgeous cars. I love the 991 and my new M6 GC. Perfect combo. We also have a '13 Cayenne Turbo which is a blast to drive.
I drove the M5 as well when I was shopping to replace my Panamera Turbo and I didn't love it. The M6 felt so much more solid and luxurious, and more planted. Of course, IMHO much better looking, too. Favorite sedan ever, and have had a few...

Thanks! A right back at you. LOVE that Agate grey on red-wow! Yeah, I love the 991. My favorite car ever. We had an epic thread-haha! going on the M5 side and it started quite the controversy (search "Dark Side" and you'll see it). I think it is hard for people to comprehend how insane this new 991 chassis is. Incredible improvements over the 997..anyway-I'll leave it there as to not start any more unwanted arguments from M5 guys.

I feel the same way about the M6. It feels so much more about the driver than the M5. Just everything about it. Most definitely more planted as well. I loved my M5 until I got the M6 cab for my wife to drive. I dropped them both on H&R and sitting next to each other in the garage there was such a noticeable difference in height and that lower center of gravity definitely made it more fun to throw around. I basically quit driving the M5 at that point. Sat in a 5 series yesterday and said to my friend "sitting in here makes me realize how much I don't miss my M5." It was just not driver centric and "big" feeling. It is a great car, but I think you put it very well in terms of my feelings also with "didn't love it"-at least after I realized how much more connected the M6 feels.

That GC is amazing. LOVE your 991 as well. such a perfect pairing. Very likely that we get a GC to replace the cab next year or possibly the Panamera or the Cayenne Turbo. That Cayenne Turbo is such an incredible vehicle. Wife loves it. Almost bought her a black on red but surprised her with the M6 and she loves it. Tough with an 8 yr old and a 1 yr old. She hates driving the F150 super crew when she really needs a family hauler/grocery getter but life is harsh huh?
