Week two with 2014 M6 Gran Coupe

So about two weeks ago, I went into the dealership to get service on my 2011 550i. I can only say the BMW dealership is a dangerous place, and triggers impulse buys.

They had the 2014 M6 Gran Coupe Alpine White on the showroom floor, and well, I took it home that day after trading in the 550i. I got a pretty good deal on it, at least I think so (7k off the sticker price).

As a daily driver, this car has been amazing. It's got so much power, handling is spot on and overall extremely refined. It's a beast when you want it to be, but it can also be sophisticated and extremely comfortable. I'd say almost as comfortable as the 550.

Anyway, here are a few photos of the car, they aren't the best quality (iPhone), but it'll do for now

Beautiful. Looks phenomenal. I saw a blk on blk one at the dealership and it just didn't really strike me. This, however is a looker.. Great purchase! Enjoy it

I really like these impulse buys stories...

This reminds me of that time that I went to wash my 2002 E46 330i and came back with a new 2004 E46 M3 on a Sunday afternoon.

Well, the 550i didn't have the Sport Package so the suspension was really squishy and felt a bit unstable at high speeds and corners. The M6 is a bit harsher even on the comfort settings, but it drives and corners so much better and feels extremely stable.

If you want something comfortable for long trips the 550i wins, but for having fun on those long trips, M6 GC hands down. I'm happy with the switch and would never go back, as I'm still relatively young (32) and don't need ALL of that extra comfort.

I was really torn between this White, or putting in an order and waiting for the Sahkir Orange. But, being that it was an impulse buy, means I was impatient and took whatever they had in stock :P

Nice choice and I am new to m6 as well for a month and already been to wheels boutique awesome by the way ordered hre 21,akra full ti,and of course vorstiner full carbon all in a month enjoy. The worst part is the wait to get my toys.
