Chrome Window(s) trim removal

Hello Group;
I have a 2013 6401 GC (love my car). Question; Does anyone have a procedure for the removal of the chrome trim around the door ledge and window trims (this is a gran coupe)? I would like to replace the chrome with black trim.

I saw a video and someone using a black film on the chrome instead of replacement. I would also appreciate any technical thoughts on this.

Thank you.
Paul

I went through something similar on my 5 series. I picked up the shadowline trim on ebay and had a body shop replace the trim for $200. Way better than any film, and nothing beats oem parts.

Much easier and inexpensive to have the chrome trim wrapped black. That's what I did
