It really was a drastic jump. Lol. From struggling going uphill to literally making sure I'm not going over 100 hahahah (thank god for the set notification once you hit a certain speed- I have mine at 85 mph)

As for the the 6speed. My initial impression was how light, yet deep the clutches sweet spot is. The first couple of times you really have to play with the gas first otherwise it'll let up and fast. So if you have a bummed left knee- I'd highly recommend the DCT.

All that being said _ having full control of 575 hp literally is the most fun I've ever had in a vehicle. The gear box is ridiculously smooth, rev matching is easy once you get the hang of the timing between clutch release/gas acceleration, and I honestly can't stress enough how out of all the M cars I test drove, DCT, or 6spd (test drove an m4 mt) the driving experience isn't even close. The power the m6 put out+ full transmission control is amazing. The picture at the gas station I posted, a man driving a 5 series came up to me amazed at the color at first, but when I showed him the inside, his eyes literally lit up once he saw the 6 spd. I don't have much experience in luxury vehicles as a lot of you (in my 26 years of life, the cars ive gone from are an 89 junk Honda, 2008 yaris and now this) but if you have an opportunity to get into an M or any performance vehicle with a MT- do it.

Thanks for detail. Yes I agree with you about manual trany. I have driven MT for over 20 years before switching to AT and then MDCT and I know how much fun it is. That's the feeling I miss every single day; however the MDCT is another type of fun especially this fast gear shifting, but still my right hand is always on the lever since it's more fun to change the gear by lever instead of paddle shifter lol

You are 100% accurate on your assessment on the DCT. That's the one thing, no matter how good I think I am at power shifting (I missed my first 2nd to 3rd PS, let's just say I'm going to get more comfortable with the vehicle before I try that again) it's no match to the gear shifts on a DCT. There's really no way you can go wrong with the m6 (DCT or mt) but since I was torn between the m6 MT and the m4 MT (before driving both)- after I did, it wasn't even close.

Agreed.

As a side note, do not try MDM or DSC OFF before you get comfortable with this monster Most of the time I drive in MDM mode and it's lots of fun, but it took weeks for me to be confident! Even with MDM I have seen people lost the control especially when the rear tires are worn. I have ordered new tires and am going to replace them this week. I will replace the rear tires with 305 instead of 295; hopefully better traction

Thanks man, maybe when I change the wheels out, I'll take the film off. With the 21" 360 wheels, I'm still enamored with the stealth look
