Auxiliary ventilation using BMW Remote

Anyone out there with any experience with this feature?
Does it have any practical effect? We have 100F

these days in NC and I would like to get the interior temp down to under the melting point of the human body before taking off from work.

yeah, it just turns on the vents and circulates the air. Temps were (heat index) 107 or so here in Houston last week and last few days, it won't cool the car down to 72, but gets the hot air out a bit faster.
