stock m6 comp package dyno

Hey guys, did a dyno run today to see what the car does bone stock:

504rwhp /498lb ft

Sounds about right with drive train loss (DCT)..

Next up deciding whether to go with ESS or BPM or Dinan for a Stage 1 kit.. Would really appreciate your thoughts and suggestions!

Thanks for sharing. Besides what was advertised, I was curious what my GC CP was pumping out in the rear. Did you remove charcoal filter during the dyno? I'm looking into ESS, AMS, etc. From all the reviews, flash tune seems the way to go. The shop forum mentioned several problems with Dinan where M5's were repeatedly back in the shop with some type of issue. I recently read that a BMW CP OEM ECU upgrade was available which would increase the hp from 575 to 600. Called my Service guy to verify if the option exists for my vehicle '14 M6.

If your CP car was built July 2014 onwards, then there is .I had it installed on my June 2015 CP, after July 2015 ,they are standard 600 hp on the CP.

interesting feedback, thanks guys. The dyno was a Mustang Dyno, around 70F ambient temps. PS car was bone stock, haven't done any changes, yet. Deciding between BPM sport and ESS

Mustang (heartbreaker) dyno explains it. Depends on how it's calibrated, typically see 10-15% lower numbers than the more popular dynojet.

Here's my baseline dyno thread when I had my 2015 M6 CP completely stock (545 whp / 545 wtq). This was a Dynojet.

I recommend Mike at BPM. I have his stage 1.5 tune currently and it is amazing. I have not had a chance to get back to the dyno but I am confident I'm in th3 630/630 range.

I had the Dinan stage 2 on my F10 M5 and it was nice but NOTHING compared to a flash tune.

If you're looking for good info on tunes and the like, you should head on over the the M5 forum (exact same engine and transmission as M6) which gets 100X the traffic this one does.

While you're there, read this thread...it's a good one.
