Does any know what is the maximum number of buttons one can get on an M6, and what is each of the buttons for?

The picture might be a 7series, anyone know what the first two buttons are for? Also, are these functions offered on the M6?Thanks everyone!

If you read the User's manual, you can find it!
There are maximum 5 buttons depend on the packages you have

Active Blind Spot Detection (Driver assistance package)
Collision warning (Driver assistance package)
Lane departure warning (Driver assistance package)
Night Vision with pedestrian detection
Head-up Display

Like my friend above stated, it depends on the package your car is equipped with. If you don't have the driver assistance package you'll only have one button which is for turning the head up display on or off. With the DAP you'll have buttons for things Lane departure warning, blind spot detection, side and top view cams, and speed limit info. In the picture you posted the buttons you're inquiring about are for Lane departure and active cruise control. I believe active cruise control isn't available on the Fxx M6 so the picture is clearly from another car.

Hi! Thank you for the reply! Just another question, isn't the camera button next to the gear lever? Also, the speed limit reader, will there be a button for this below the headlight switch as well? Thanks!

You are correct, the camera button is above the PDC button next to the gear lever. Now, I don't have the Driver Assistance Package in my M6 but from my understanding for cars equipped with it the buttons are as follows, from left to right: 1. Lane Departure Warning 2. Active cruise control 3. Active Blind Spot Detection 4. Speed Limit Info 5. Head Up Display On/Off

In my case, without the DAP, my M6 only has the Head Up Display On/Off button as the first and only, leftmost button. If you don't mind my asking, why the interest in these buttons particularly. As others have stated, the manual would be of the utmost help, and I find simply fiddling with them may help you understand them better as well.

I stand corrected, thanks Richard. For vehicles without night vision, I assume that there are only 4 buttons then?
