[Video Clip] M6 F13 w/ Eisenmann Race, Mid-Pipes, and Catless DPs

The video below doesn't look the best (it's kinda wonky being sideways) but it captures the sound of my exhaust pretty darn good. This was at a local event we have each year called Cruzin' For Food which involves a ton of car guys getting together at a local spot and cruising to the food bank to donate money and food. It's a good time and a great thing to participate in each year -- makes you feel good.

This is an Eisenmann Race, Eisenmann Mid-Pipes, and Motive Concepts Catless Downpipes. It's hard to see visually in the video but the exhaust tips are one-off custom 4" round 12 gauge (single wall) tips ceramic coated satin black by Jet Hot. It took a very long time to cut the old Eisenmann tips off and position/weld these on but well worth it.

Anyhow, I know I have posted video clips before but I thought what the hell... Here is another, hope ya'll don't mind.

That's a great sound my shame I can't rev past 4k now !! Bloody ecu update !!!

Really? 4k is low for revving as the true sound doesn't kick in till way above 4k when you rev. When did they do this to your car/ECU?

Michel, what did you have an ECU update for? The reason I ask is my 2012 F13M M6 went in for fitting Ceramic brakes two weeks or so ago and came out with a nasty judder, only when the car is stationary. It feels like it is in gear trying to creep forward even though it is in neutral. One exhaust sounds very slightly different to the other. I am not suggesting it had anything to do with the brake conversion but it went in OK and now is not. Car is still with dealer, BMW all over the world involved. ??? Brian

I am curious if this ECU upgrade is something they will automatically push to our cars when they are in for service. If they are going to limit my revs to 4k I am going to be a very grumpy customer.

When I had the gearbox issue , the dealer decided to update all the software , now I can only rev to 4k ...bummer and lost all my custom software updates .

But the good thing is that the car drives much better , there is not much traction issues now, even with the BMS installed . Before it was constantly spinning the wheels . It could also be a combination of new tyres ..not sure but it does drive much better on the track , especially on a exit .

I had issues with my gearbox , hence the software updates. Mine is a 2012 model aswell. The gearbox kept disengaging I believe , have a search for my other thread, there is a more detailed description.

The update fixed the problem and the car feels smoother on gear change now.

Sounds killer. Mine is in for service right now and they are supposed to be doing a software update. I will keep you posted.

BTW, I got a bad set of 21" Michelin tires, and since they are discontinued, I have to switch to Pirelli's. Bummed.

My buddy captured a video clip of me taking off this morning. I know a couple people have asked for a video of the car taking off so here it is. Video quality isn't that great but the audio is decent for an iPhone clip.
