In Europe, you can order an option (which includes performance Driving school) which bumps up the electronic limit to around 190 mph. In the US, that option is not available, so we are limited to 155 mph. With no electronic limits, I have been told and heard that the top speed for the car is around 205 mph. Also, from personal experience, I was in a F10 M5 over the summer, traveling 180 mph on the autobahn, and the car could have gone faster if it was not for the traffic, and the M6 has a slicker aerodynamic shape than the M5.

I have a US spec car and mine maxed out at 267km/h before the engine power limiter kicked in. I picked it up in germany and had time to experinence the Autobahn.
