M Sport exhaust

Does anyone know if I just order the M Sport exhaust for my F06 650i according to the part numbers from RealOEM whether I will be getting the black chrome exhaust tip version?

The reason I am asking is that I have placed an order (via an European vendor) for the M Sport exhausts and they told me that the exhaust tips are regular chrome Luckily, they told me before shipping so I can refuse the order.....

You wouldn't be able to use your current tips?

Btw, are you sure you don't want to wait until a good aftermarket exhaust is released? I am sure the msport exhaust sounds better, but I don't think it's that much louder.

if you want black tip, you can paint it with high temperature spray paint.

I like Akraprovic with carbon tail tips. They only offer for M6.

I am still hoping for an aftermarket exhaust that could use the stock tips or something similar.

As far as I know there are already at least two aftermarket exhausts released for 650: from Eisenmann and Supersprint. Price in Europe is about $2300.

Thought about going aftermarket but the car will be very difficult to sell down the road with aftermarket add-ons here.......

I was looking for X-Pipe but can't find any that fits OEM mufflers unless modifying the original (cut and replace). Akraprovic carbon fiber tips look very cool yet understated. I still can't decide on neither because I can't find any example of X-pipe with OEM mufflers yet for this model, and Akrapovic doesn't offer one for non-M model. Also, BMW never really fixes my problem with Drivetrain Malfunction.

Well, keep the original then and put them before you sell

Lol, I totally understand what you mean by no storage in Hong Kong.

Spray paint the OEM tips and save some money! :P

It wasn't just about the black tips. I understand that the M Sport exhaust (including the center section and the left/right rear) sounds a bit different than normal and I am trying to make sure I get the right stuff
