It took a solid 2 months from the time I ordered my ADVs from WB to them arriving at my house. Did you go with the Michelin Pilot Super Sports w/ 305/25/21 on the rear? If so you will be really happy with how it fills up the wheel well on your car -- it is perfect!

I personally like the exposed hardware as I feel it gives it a more "race" look but I do understand your back and forth with choosing it or not choosing it. I went with the deep concave version of my wheel so unfortunately exposed hardware wasn't an option on my wheel. Either way it's going to be one sexy ass wheel!

I am really excited to see what they look like when you mount them up. It's going to look badass my friend!

btw... The spoke design you selected was in my top 2 choices so I really like what you went with!

I went Pirelli P-Zero 325/25/21 on the rear on Ben's recommendation. I want exposed hardware but the wife hates it. I don't know what to do here as far as that goes. Kinda want to change back to exposed. But then again 2 days ago I wanted hidden. I'm very indecisive on that front.

Wow I thought my 305 was a wide tire 325 is going to be insane -- love it!

I hear ya on the indecisiveness. The wheel choice is a HUGE decision because of the price and because it can make or break the look of the car. I really think either way you go (exposed or non-exposed) the wheel is going to look badass so you can't really go wrong -- ADV1 makes beautiful wheels. Making the Wife happy is always a good thing otherwise you are probably going to hear about it for a long time -- just sayin'

Congratulation! wow 325 should look fantastic... hopefully not wide enough to touch the fenders!

Edit: you also have 21" rims so the total of 0.4" increased in height and you already lowered the car!
if it does not touch the fenders, I'm telling you " it's gonna be soooo beautiful"

Thanks. Really pumped. I've been told the width is directed inwards not towards the fenders so I'm hoping that's the case and there won't be any touching.

Nice Twitch! Can't wait to see them on. I have bought from Ben Before and the service/turnaround time was great.

Thanks Hunter, really excited to see them on too. I'm gonna give Ben a call tomorrow to revisit my choice of finish I think I want something just a bit darker, but I've decided to leave it with hidden hardware to avoid any unnecessary discussions at home. I should have at least a week before the wheels are set into production so I want to make sure everything is 100% the way I envisioned before then.

Dark wheels on your car will be awesome! Congrats! What does it mean when you say hidden hardware?

Thanks, I really hope the dark wheels make the car color pop even more. Since my wheel is a two piece it needs to be held together by hardware (bolts). So you have the option of either leaving the hardware exposed and visible on the face of the wheel or hidden which means it would only be visible if you look inside the barrel. Here is a picture of my wheel with exposed hardware with hidden hardware the lip where the bolts are otherwise visible on the outside would be clean:

Just out of curiosity have you thought about maybe a lighter color for the inside lip and maybe a darker color on the spokes? Possibly a flat color on the inside lip and then a brushed effect on the spokes? The brushed effect ADV does looks pretty slick and can be done with any color I believe.

Just throwing ideas out there as I know you are contemplating a few possible changes before they are built. I don't mean to add to the "thinking madness" going on in your head so sorry if I am.

Brian

Twitch, sorry for adding to the ambivalence, but the hidden hardware look is cleaner and more timeless IMO...

I'm looking into that. When I was going for exposed hardware I was planning to do something like that. Let see what Ben and I can work out.

No worries man, I appreciate the tip. Specially since I've settled on hidden hardware. I've never ordered a two piece wheel before so I though having the hardware show would be awesome but the wife has said "hell no" and no wheel is worth sleeping on the couch.

Sleeping on the couch for exposed hardware? Quite the discerning automotive counterpart you have

Oh yeah, she has it out for my car. She wanted me to get a Panamera Turbo, and hasn't let me off the hook for not listening then. Getting the exposed hardware would just drive her nuts, especially now after she has been telling me for weeks not to. Since I like both styles I'll just save myself the argument.

Haha... Not to get off-topic, but that was the exact car I was en route to buy. But I randomly stopped to see a nicely modded M6, and I couldn't be happier with the decision. Besides the AWD, high-gearing, and the tuneability of the Panny, I'm sold on the M6. Both are amazing cars - you two have good taste...

What's the weight like on the 2-piece btw?

Yeah, I love the M6 as well. Have had M6s for almost 6 years now. They are just amazing machines.

Great question on the weight of the wheels. I honestly have no idea as far as mine goes. I know this model ranges from 19-24 lbs on the 2-piece. I'm think mine being a 21" with hidden hardware may be on the heavier side of that range.

Wish I had some more but press shots are all I got. I won't have anything else until they're finally on the car which is easily still 5 weeks away. The wait is the worst.
