Is the seat rebuild due to your seats moving when cornering ??

Mines booked in for this too

No it doesnt move, however it sounds like ive got an 80's spring bed in the car when the passenger seat is empty. According to BMWUk there is numorous Puma cases on this and to find the fault they advise a 7step process when taking the seat apart.

Did well to get the ARB and drop links under warranty surprised they did not claim wear and tear!

My car also going in for the seat TSB this month, driver's seat shifting slightly when cornering. A ridiculous problem to have on a car in this segment.

It takes hundreds of complaints to get them to do a puma case and even then they wont uodate the part unless u tell them that u are having a problem.

Ashford bmw- greased and added washers to the chair which did nothing. They then told me thats all they could do

Cooper bmw tunbridge wells - rebuilding the seat in 7steps, im on stage 3 and driving the car to give feedback before the next stages start.

What ive found with bmw in my short ownership is its all down to the garage you use

Be interested to know who you dealt with at Ashford (my tyre incident ended up being dealt with by Patrick who is all I deal with now after the whole incident).

Cooper have a terrible reputation reading around whether it is deserved not sure personally.

Saying that in my experience it depends on who you deal with and forums can be a massive help. The MK3 MX5 has a very simple fault of failing grommits in the windscreen scuttle easy replacement and sealant - one reception staff member slagged off forums and had never heard of this common fault. Diag in under 10 minutes - exactly that and common fault. Second service member far better and far more switched on and understood the points I was saying.
