Voluntary quarantine issue regarding Ebola. Yes or no?

This is a big issue here in the US.
If I was in the same shoe, it would not be fun of course, but I will quarantine myself just for the sake of other people.
Not knowing all about the virus, I would just lock myself in and wait 21 days.
New Jersey is firm in their quarantine policy and I support it.
This nurse calls quarantine "inhumane". If anyone out there actually have virus and could have been quarantined but rather choose to walk around everywhere and infect other people,.. Now that is inhumane.
Is it really harsh and inhumane to quarantine those people at risk? Better to be safe than sorry. We do not fully understand this virus yet.

I think we should just toss them all in the same room and just watch and see what happens on its own. Then we will know what it's capable of.

That's what is wrong with this country. Everyone is walking on eggshells trying not to "violate" people's rights or feelings. Make it mandatory 21 day quarantine and be done.

Sheettt. We did it to Ellis Island immigrants and they survived. (at least most of them)

I agree with the quarantine as well. I don't see what's inhumane. She got a computer, cell phone, TV, etc... She wasn't in a prison cell.

If I traveled back from Africa, refused to get quarantined, and then infected my friends and family with ebola, there is nothing that would ever let me forgive myself.

Yeah the people's "rights" in this country has gone far.
You can just make up some weird crap and call it "rights", and find a few people to agree with you, you have it.
Besides that..
If I was a medical team that just came back from Africa, i would just lock myself up to make sure I am ok before I go see my loved ones.
Seriously, for the sake of this country, this needs to be done right.

Our soldiers, who didn't get to chose to go help, are placed in quarantine before returning home to loved ones. The General who was over there lead BY EXAMPLE.

If I were brave enough, and had any skills to volunteer, part of my plan would be an extra 21 days to set myself aside from anyone else before I returned to my loved ones. But I am the jealous type who wants to protect my loved ones . . . not make a name in the media.

Ca gov passed a 21 day quarantine for those returning from CDC-declared hot zones. County health is responsible, on a case by case basis, with determining who needs to go in, based on what they did in the hot zone.

Make it mandatory. If you choose to go over there and help when you come back you have to be "locked up" for 21 days. End of story. As health care professionals you'd think they'd know better and want to contain it but instead they play victims about their rights being violated. You want to get your loved ones and other people sick? Your a selfish bitch and I hope she does have it!
