How much better will the M6GC CP be

To drive than the LCI M5 I am part exchanging for one?.
My M6 GC CP has been put back till October delivery because the factory is closing for summer holidays for 4 weeks

I did briefly drive the M6 GC months ago and can't remember how it would compare, anyone?.

tighter steering, 20% stiffer suspension on sport plus. I really felt the difference when I drove them back to back.
15 more HP. Supposedly brings it sub 4 in a good launch control. Suspension 1 inch lower and makes it look slick!
I have it and I love it.
I wish i had twister roads here in south Fl

+1 All correct except the suspension isn't really 1 inch lower, and non-CP M6s have hit sub 4s as well (3.7s according to some publications). The steering improvements alone are worth it.

Interesting. This FAQ post came after and it has almost the same information but doesn't mention M6 in the lowered suspension part:

http://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=861925

"• Stiffer and lower suspension (shocks and springs) (10mm lower than standard M5)."

also,

"How is the suspension improved exactly?

The following is my own summary: 10mm lower suspension (M5), stiffer front bushings, revised springs/shocks and stiffer sway bars."

Anyone else wants to solve the mystery?

M6 Gran Coupe and M6 Convertible have the same text. All M6s don't mention about 10mm lowered suspension.

Thanks for the comparison. It looks fantastic!

It's weird that when I browse related web pages, some media say the lowered 10mm suspension only applies to M5 and M6s are not affected, while some say it does to both.

I repeat, in the German M6 price list it states that the car is 10mm lower. Mind you 10mm is not a lot and the + or - tolerance probably covers this. On the other hand UK and US versions of the Comp Pack may differ to the German one. Anyone care to look up their price list? I don't have a UK or US one. Cheers Brian

It seems like the US price list doesn't say 10mm lower suspension in the CP part.

I feel they are not identical! I mean the first and second pics show different at right side of tire! anyways I measured the fenders to ground the other day. All fenders to ground measured 27 3/4 inches. My car is stock M6 Coupe non CP. Any body has stock M6 coupe CP to measure and confirm?

15 more HP. Supposedly brings it sub 4 in a good launch control. Suspension 1 inch lower and makes it look slick!
I have it and I love it.
I wish i had twister roads here in south Fl
Maybe on the GC it made a huge difference by on coupe it was very marginal and the key standout item was the exhaust - it sounded better.
