Hey guys, since I switched from a M6 to a 640 Gran Coupe my color choices have changed. First, anyone out there have a 640GC in Singapore Grey, it's not on the stock or individual palette. Second, if I go white, any thoughts regarding Alpine White versus Brilliant White Metallic? Thought I might be a little different and stay away from the common Saphire Black and Alpine White. Thoughts? Thanks!

Had same same thoughts. When I was ready to order mine (640 ix vert) dealer told he could find a car in the US with almost any combination of options, as long as the exterior was either black or white.
My 640 ix vert is is on the car carrier TOSCA. Left Halifax an hour and a half ago. Arrives NJ in two days Deep Sea Blue! |

Alpine White is a stunning color, I don't care for the metallic white...
Why don't you order in whatever color you like or one of the flat white/grey colors? |

When I was in the market for a 6GC, they loaned me an Alpine White one overnight while my 5 was being repaired. I did not end up with a white one but it really made me second guess my color choice. Good color.

There is a reason AW has been a BMW color for a long time and becomes a very desirable color in resell. Dealing with older M3's for a long time, finding well kept AW cars or M only colors are the best.

LSM, I think I saw your old car at LAX parking once sometime early last year when I was debating between powder coating or plastidiping wheels. It could be another car, but it looks pretty good without doing too much.

Depends on the color of the car IMO. When I first saw black rims, I was not a fan. Now that I've seen them with a range of body colors, I get it.
White with black rims is definitely a statement but its a good look. I saw a space gray 5 with liquid black rims at the dealership last week. I'm glad I didn't see it when I had my SG 5 because I would have bought them in a heart beat! I did get rid of all chrome and reflectors on my 5 so they would have looked great. I am sooo tempted to lose the chrome on my 6 and get black 20s but chrome looks good with moonstone. |
