My new toy - M6 GC
Hi all. I'm an old time forum member but been away for a while. I used to visit this site when I had the E60 M5. Just a bit of background, my first BMW was the E60 540i, then after 3 months I realised I needed more power so traded to a E60 550i and after 8 months I realised I needed an E60 M5. If anyone wants a lesson on how not to buy cars, please drop me a message
After 2 years with the M5 I needed something with better power and handling so I left the BMW marquee and got a Porsche 997.1 Turbo. That lasted 2 years and decided I needed something that handled better than the Turbo through the tight hill roads we have here and at the track. So, I got the Porsche 997.2 GT3 and the Porsche Cayenne Diesel (daily). Two years later, which brings us back to now, the Porshes are gone and I'm back with BMW I decided that the GT3 is just not cutting it for me at the track so will be getting a Porsche 997 Cup and needed a super sedan as a daily driver. The M6 GC just stood out from all of the other choices for me. I picked it up yesterday and drove over 1000kms with the wife through some amazing roads and scenery. It's Singapore Grey with Black Merino interior. Looking forward to sharing with you guys on here about these beautiful machines Am loving the car so far. However, the driver seat is making creaking noises which is annoying the shit out of me. Anyone else experienced this? Some pics for your viewing pleasure

Congrats and welcome back. No crackling noises from seat on coupe (only from speakers sporadically). Perhaps another GC owner like RichardP can chime in as far as seat noises on GCs are concerned.

I had a slight creaking noise from the driver seat at a very specific temperature, cold start from the garage at between 5 and 7 C outside. It appeared to be coming from around the joint between the bottom and back of the seat on the outer (right in the UK) side.
When the car went in for it's 1200 mile service I mentioned it, although it was not doing it at the time, and they claimed to have adjusted and lubricated it. Not heard the noise since, but it might come back next winter. |

Thanks all! I was at the dealership today and after looking at it lined up next to all the other BMW it really does look awesome
Re noise from driver seat, I've isolated the sound to around the bottom left hinge, near where the seat belt is (RHD car). The Service guy could hear it too and acknowledged how annoying it would be. Hopefully they can fix it.
