BTW i know its rumored that these cars "learn" your driving style, a buddy of mine with a dct m3 drove my m6 and couldn't believe how much crisper the shifting on my car is compared to his. He drives in auto pretty much always, IMO i think it makes the car learn to shift lazy. All other settings were equal

I only use manual mode because that's all I have - 6 speed with a clutch and I love it. Incidentally, I also find the farting analogy a bit immature. My opinion of course.

Wish uk market sold the manual!

Pops and bangs is as the only other term I have used. Never farting, it's not a 1.0 corsa with a halfords exhaust.

Pops and bangs.

Never heard anyone do a fart that sound's like an M6 backfire at full chat... I would suggest you go to hospital if a noise like that comes out of your arse!

Hey does it really matter whether some call it backfire, snap, crackle, pop, fart whatever else.
People who have been in my car or just approached me in public have referred to it as fart a handful of times so I just embraced it.

No worries - the more names the better!

What about a Trump? I know he might be the next US president but it hasn't gone unnoticed over the pond that a "trump" is another popular name for a "fart"!

"Have you done a Trump?" is a common accusation in our house (maybe with added swearing depending on the audience), which kind of makes me chuckle now with Donald on the TV so much!

(No political offence intended )
