Just as an FYI for anyone that is interested, the BMW iPhone snap in adaptor will fit in any late model BMW that is factory ready for the adaptor.

I've switched out my iPhone adaptor from my 2013 X5 to my 2014 650, so it's interchangeable which is nice.

And then if you sell the car, take it out and save it for your next one.

I believe that the adapter for the 2013 X5 and 2014 GC is different (in fact, did they ever even ship the media iphone 5 adapter for the 2013 X5? I don't even see it on BMWusa.com)
