Eisenmann Race Exhaust For F13

Okay, I had made the decision to go with the Eisenmann race exhaust. It's only axle-back, but there is an option for the mid pipe, etc.

Just go it installed today and it really is nice! It completely changed the sound of the car (obviously).

I will get video of it soon, as I don't think most of the current videos do it complete justice. Downshifts are really cool sounding as well.

There is additional cabin noise now, but nothing obnoxious at all. Just the usual 1800-2300 RPM drone zone.

Not sure that I'll ever need the mid pipe, but will wait for a month or so, as I'll undoubtably get used to the sound. I may want more once the "newness" wares off. We'll see.

Thanks to Lance at Velos Designwerks for taking care of everything and making it easy. Service was top-notch!

Great choice man! I have the same exhaust on my F12. It's a beautiful sound indeed!

I am close to putting on a pair of catless downpipes so I am sure it will make the Eisenmann sing even louder.

Any rattle at start up?

I have a nice feature on my Eisenmann sport axel back that when you cold start the noise flap rattles very loudly, very unattractive. In fact so loud I have had a couple comments about the poor sound. Kinda pisses me off as this system is 4,000! You would think Eisenmann would get it right with this much in cost per unit.

Guys I need HELP with this.. I don't want the drone as I city driving a lot and that RPM range 1800-2300 RPM (drone zone) is pretty common place. Can I go sport (rear section) and still get some good sounds (especially inside the cabin).

Thanks so much!

I have the rear section only (Eisenmann race). You will definitely get some drone. If you 100% cannot stand drone, you need to look elsewhere.

Here is a quick video I shot of a few revs, inside the car. Again, this is only the rear section. Mid-pipe and downpipes are all stock.

Video probably doesn't do it any justice. The throttle was set to "Efficient". Best way to capture the exhaust would be to put it in M mode with the throttle on "Sport Plus". Should sound sick as it sounds pretty good on the wrong setting already.

+1 totally agree. And......I was barely revving it, too. Not enough to get the true character of the exhaust.

My only issue is this drone factor everyone speaks of... I have never experience drone before and I am just worried that it will drive me nuts because the majority of my driving is slow city driving. So I want the sound, crackle, and pops but dunno about the drone. So go with sport rear section or race is really my dilemma right now.

Can't believe that was at efficient.. WOW.

Drone can be very annoying in a daily driver. Imagine your cockpit vibrating and getting a kind of rattling/humming noise from said vibrations at lower RPMs. It's ok on dedicated track cars like Porsche GT3 RS or something you only plan to drive once or twice a week. Otherwise it can be an annoyance. Some people get used to it or find a way to simply ignore it somehow, others find it hard to live with. Make sure you make the right choice before you're stuck with something you might not find enjoyable in your beast.

Ya for a DD in slow crawl traffic I don't need that, especially on calls, client pickups, etc. I have my GT for the crazy loud days. If I don't find the Sport loud enough I can just get some downpipes or something - not sure I would be into the drone.

I like the drone sound on the Eisenmann race on my M6. I have other cars with different exhaust setups and I like the drone on them as well. It provides a very deep rumble/vibrating sound and in my opinion it sounds mean and deep.

If you have not experienced the drone sound I wouldn't count it out JUST because other's say they don't like it.

Can someone take a video in the drone zone so we can hear it? My exhaust is already on the way so hopefully it hit the mark once its installed (this is the ESport).

Might be picking up a used one soon.

Does the race version have the valve port? Meaning closed with two pipes and M mode all 4 open?

Thanks
