Which wheels will fit my BMW 640xd?
Hey guys,
I want to buy winter wheels for my BMW 640xd Gran coupe M sport. My summer wheels are style 373 8.5x20 front and 9x20 rear. BMW offers only 18 inch winter wheels for my car and I am not very pleased with that. I really like 19" Double-Spoke 408M for M6 9Jx19 front and rear. Do you know how to find out if they will fit and suit best to my car? Is it possible to have problems with the x-drive and traction if I didn't put the standard 18" wheels? Could you offer me other interesting winter wheels for my BMW? |

408M should be fit. They have very close ET (32/25) compare to 18" offered for 640 (ET30)

Hey atanasdk
Just seen your PM I'm away at the moment but will send you some hi res images of mine with the 408m's on. Mines RWD rather than xdrive rear is flush with the 25 offset and front is also pretty flush. Clearance to the front knuckle is obviously tighter than with the 373m wheel (which is my summer wheel). So unless there is differences between the front knuckle other than the obvious hole for the drive shaft they should fit fine. Same story with my local dealers stating that the 408m won't fit my car because it's not a m5/6. The key here for me is that others are running m5 wheels on std 6'ers so given these are for both m5 and m6 with no difference to offsets you shouldn't have any problem. I just had to agree that they were non refundable even if they didn't fit. |
