640d GC 19" tyre sizes

Hi all,

My 2013 640d GC needs new rear tyres. I bought the car a year ago from BMW.

The thing is I've checked the tyres and they are the same size all round? 275/35/19

I thought the fronts should be a different profile? All of the tyre places I go to state that the fronts should be 245/40/19.

Can anyone confirm?

Cheers

Mark

Cheers for that

It looks like the supplying dealer put the wrong tyres on the front then!
I guess I need to by new front tyres now and move the existing ones to the back

As long as it's not an xdrive, you could do that and save some money.
Also check if you do have 8,5J et33 in front and 9J et44 in back (in case of oem wheels). If they put four 9J wheels all around, the 245 on 9J would look stretched...

Thanks! it's not an xdrive.

How do I find out if I have 8,5j on the front? Is it marked on the wheel?

Thanks. I'm wondering if the supplying dealer fitted 4 rear wheels and tyres to my car

Handling seems to be ok so will just replace the rears and worry about the fronts when the time comes I think

Couldn't see anything written on inside of wheel but I'm guessing they will need to come off to find it
