I regularly use this feature as it saves gas from the hungry V8 idling at long red lights. I'll consider disabling it now....

I am not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I just had my run in service done and my service advisor informed me there was an open recall or "campaign" on the car. Recalling my service slip from memory it seems they fixed an issue with the coolant hoses to better cool the engine after shut off. Im not sure if this is a workaround to not have to replace the battery as quickly or if this fixes the issue entirely. Of course it could also be unrelated, has anyone else noticed this fix at a recent service???

There is a 'quality enhancement' to fit 4 small heat shields to the turbo cooling pipes. Is that what they were referring to?
