Hey guys,
As the title says I'm going to step away from my M6. I've been waiting for some time now and my 2015 i8 is finally on its way stateside. I had been considering what car to get next for a while, having been in an M6 in one way or another (E63 and F13) for almost 7 years now I felt like I needed a little break and a change of scenery. So yes, I'm going hybrid to see what all the fuzz is about. I think it will be a nice change of pace until the next-gen M6 comes along and I'm ready to go hyper speed again. Anyways, I'll be putting some stuff up for sale from my car in the next few days. My M Performance Exhaust by Akrapovic with Carbon Fiber tips (refinished to glossy carbon) is up for grabs for $5500 shipped and I'm looking to get $5500 shipped for my ADV1s, 21"ADV5.0 MV2s in Matte Liquid Smoke and I'll be throwing in the H&R springs to whoever buys them. I'll be posting them in the classified section sometime soon but if anyone is interested please go ahead and message me. Anyways, I'll still be active on this side of the forums. Unfortunately for you guys you won't be rid of my lengthy posts that easy. -Twitch

Goodluck buddy.
Hope you enjoy your i8... Something is bothering me about electric or even hybrid cars but it is what it is... in next 10 years there will be only limited gasoline engine out there

I know my friend. Next Generation of M6 will be a real sport car and we will be waiting for the car. My lease will be ended next year and I need a replacement for 3 years. I am thinking about different cars but so far AMG GTS is on the top of my list.

We all truly need to recognize that the era we are living will soon change and likely will not return. V8 engines with turbos no less will be basically extinct except in the highest end of the world in the near future
I work in the industry and see this trend moving quickly. Let's embrace these engines we've been fortunate enough to experience. The move to lower displacement turbo/hybrid power trains is the next step. Scoop up the power while you can! |

I still miss the ROAR of the BMW 5L V10 from my 2007 M6 with Eisenmann Sport Exhaust and K&N Cold Air Induction ... man that was a crazy sound that would put a shit eating grin on my face every time I pressed on the GO peddle!!! One of my S63 AMGs had the 6.2L V8 - that also sent music to my ears! Yes, the smaller displacement with Turbo's are better for fuel economy and provide more power and torque and quicker 0 to 60 ... but they are too muffled on their own! I hope going catless on my 2016 M6 will solve some of the lack of ROAR. We may have to simply record the exhilarating sounds and hit re-play on our smart phones over and over as the V10s and Twin Turbo V8s with massaged exhausts become extinct. Sigh ... the loss of the Roar!!!

Aaaaaaahhhhh, so long for now. I'm coming back August 5-8. Let's meet up.
Having thoughts on your wheels if they aren't gone... Don't need more wheels but that's never stopped me before! Congrats on the i8!
