New 2014 M6 coupe question
Found a new 2014 M6 coupe with comp package and premium package. Sticker was $130k. Dealer said they'll sell it for $95k. Only has 48 miles and the warranty hasn't been started. Is it better to just search for used market or is this a good deal?
Thanks for advice. |

Do it. Warranty not started yet is great. You're getting $35k off with basically zero downside IMHO assuming it's specced how you like.

As long as you're looking to finance it/buying upfront - it's a good deal.
But as stated above- can't lease it using a residual % program. Only dollar base which is worse than financing

It's a good deal in certain condition.
Let's do a simple calculation: Financing this car at 1.9% APR and California tax (8%) meant you will owe ~108k for 5 years or ~22k per year. In one year you will pay 22k and you owe ~80k while your car will worth a lot less than 80k so you will lose lots of money. In 3 years you will pay about 66k and at that time you will owe ~40k (pay off ) while your car will worth at least 45k so you will have some equity on the car... So, if you have plan to keep and drive the car for 1-2 years, it's not worth it, but if you have plan to keep this car for 3 or more years, then it's a good deal
