There's a simple fact about air filters. If you want to increase airflow, you have do decrease filter performance. Performance means the degree to which the filter removes dirt particles. The power that you will gain is miniscule. The amount of dirt that will pass through the filter is significant. Don't waste your money.

ITG Air Filter
I use ITG multi density foam air filters in my cars including my 640 - very linear response, better mpg and throttle IMHO.
A lot more refined than the K&N (which is perfect in my sons Camaro...) Just my 2 cents. And I also use Motul Excess Engine oil - 5w40 - less tapety, more power and mpg. My 997 Carrera particularly loves it. And yes it BMW approved. |
