Is Karbonius roundel version louder?

I recall reading somewhere that the roundel version (not the M-V8) is louder.
Is this true?

From one of the prior conversations I had with the builder, there are actually sound differences between the original plenum design that has just the BMW roundel and the later-added design that carries the M V8 logo.
