Arrow Citrin Black F13 M6 Build by Velos Designwerks | 700+ HP | More Details & Pics Inside

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hello Fellow Enthusiasts,

We have been moving a few parts for the F10 M5 & F13 M6 and haven't really featured much since our previous F10 M5 Builds (here).

We had the pleasure of taking on this build for one of our clients from one of our Central States. The client was interested in creating a 700hp M6 that is still suitable for everyday driving and of course a few other goodies here and there. After going back and forth for a few weeks we decided to go with the Manhart Tuning package along with the Manhart Tuning Boxes. We will try our best to keep you updated along the way with as much detail as possible. Feel free to ask any questions you may have regarding the items being installed on this M6. The entire build is taking place in house and here is a list of the mods we have confirmed thus far.
  • Manhart Performance Boxes & ECU Tune
  • Gruppe M Intake
  • Downpipes
  • Akrapovic Exhaust w/ Carbon Fiber Tips
  • KW V3 Coilovers
  • Carbotech Brake Pads
  • Escort 9500ci w/ Rear View Mirror Integration
  • Color Matched Side Reflectors

Here is the before dyno. ( will update with actual results soon )

My Carbotech pads just shipped yesterday. I am hoping for less dust and less noise.

Looking forward to seeing this build out!

Manhart Tuning & Performance Boxes

First step was to label both ECU's and have them sent out to Germany and wait for their return. A little less than two weeks later we received the ECU's along with the Manhart Performance Boxes. After getting everything back we test drove the car for a few days to make sure everything checked out fine.

Next Step was going to be Installing the Escort System and the Gruppe M Intake.

We only use them for the 700+hp kit including their boxes. It is roughly $5-6k.

Manhart tune is insane. That for sure is the best way to go as of now.

Escort 9500ci w/ Rear View Mirror Integration

Here is a picture of the Escort display integrated into the rear view mirror. The front of the car has a shifter on each side and the radar is mounted in the middle of the bumper behind the grill. The control unit has been tucked away inside the ash tray for a complete stealth install. The mirror display can also be powered off in roughly 2 seconds with no visible trace of anything being installed.

Downpipe & Akrapovic Exhaust

On these builds and for most of our M5 / M6 clients we typically go with Eisenmann or Akrapovic for the exhaust system of choice. They both offer great solutions for the enthusiasts looking to upgrade their exhaust. It goes without saying that the Akra system is one of the most popular options for this platform so after a little back and forth we chose the full Akra system in Titanium. The system offers the most precise install, weight savings, HP/TQ gains, and of course a much more aggressive sound that still manages to be tame enough for every day driving.

We paired the Akra Evolution System (Carbon Fiber Tips) with Agency Power downpipes.

If you have any questions on any of these mods feel free to shoot me a PM or email.

Stock Downpipe Weight: 24lbs

Aftermarket Downpipe Weight: 16.5 lbs

Downpipes:

Blurry.. It happens, sorry

Akrapovic Evolution Exhausts w/ Carbon Fiber Tips

Here tried to get as many pics as possible. As usual the system is unbelievably light and the sound paired with the exhaust system is intoxicating (I will try to get a good video of this asap)

So we weighed all exhaust components but had to use a box to place them on for obvious reasons.. The box weighed in at 26 lbs

Box weight - 26 lbs

Numbers below reflect actual weight of the exhaust system components only

Both Akrapovic Mufflers - 21.5 lbs

Akrapovic Connecting Pipe to Mufflers - 11.5 lbs

Akrapovic Connecting Pipe Front - 15.5 lbs

Akrapovic Carbon Fiber Tips - 3.5 lbs

__________

Total Weight of the Akrapovic Exhaust System for F13 M6 - 52 lbs

Same deal as above, box was by itself - 31 lbs

Factory Exhaust Weight - 73.5 lbs

Weight Savings of 21.5 lbs

Akrapovic Evolution Exhausts for F13 M6

Sorry these are not the best pictures, will do a full shoot once the build is done. The technicians aren't big fans of stopping the process for pictures..
