Couldn't agree more, I just don't understand why do this when you already have a perfectly above average car.

They could have just opted for a TRUE S63 AMG or ALPINA 7

Look at my simple calculation:
Based on Dinan report, the non CP M6 engine is generating 618 HP. Since M6 is RWD with 12% drivetrain loss, 543 HP is transferring to the wheels so with 4250 lb weight, 7.8 lb/hp is the actual power/weight ratio of M6.
In case of 4450 lb 550xi respect to 15% drivetrain loss of AWD car, you need to have at least 670 HP at crank or something about 220 HP over the power of N63tu engine since Dinan has measured 446 HP for this engine... so if somebody has that much tuning, then yes he can beat M6 and I won't be shocked
uhm what about traction? we have to baby our cars from a dig they can mash and go. in a short race they can def hang

i think putting a fake badge on your car is so lame, i just don't get it! I always say the worst part of a fake badge has to be the day you get complimented for having a nice M6/5 lol. I would feel like such a pathetic human being. And the biggest shame of all this is 99% of places that guy goes that car will be one of the nicest around as is(no fake badge).

Well my quote was on rolling and that's why I said except "light to light" but wait your car won't be that much behind from dig if you get used to it and have proper tire... I can easily launch the car and get to 60 in 3.6 second... you just need 305/30/20 MPSS or Nitto NT05
Look at the video I posted to see how fast M6 can keep up with that AWD Gallardo even though Gallardo jumped off the line quickly...

Guess it's not enough for them. They seem to be strong believers of fake it till you make it. Someone should just sell this guy an M6 exhaust, grilles, bumpers, and fenders so he can complete this abomination. Like 90% of the idiots that engage in this he'll forget the side mirrors and brakes, and let's not mention the interior, and tell everyone his car is a real M6.

Fake/Real M3/M4/M5/M6 the cars will still be amazing regardless. I'll be happy with my 650i or fake M6. Opinions here really don't matter. You guys might as well go on PriorDesigns website and bash the whole site. Either get used to it or stop it from happening. Get a Ferrari, Lamborghini or Pagani if you don't want to see a car that basically have the same aero cuts and body design to be easily copied.

Prior design body kits are not 6 series or M6 specific. They're designed for the F06/F12/F13 platform in general, meaning all non-M and M variants alike. Prior design's website is not promoting the creation of fake M6's, their promo shots use mostly regular 6 series for cost reasons. They do this to promote their body kits without having to break the bank by suing the more expensive car. The body kit's purpose is not to create a fake M6. They do use the M6 grilles and side grilles because they don't make their own, they get them straight from BMW and they opt for the M6 versions as they look more aggressive (unfortunately these already have an M6 badge on them). Notice how they don't place the M6 badge in the rear of their non-M promo car. Their goal is to sell as many kits as possible and make the most money while their at it. Creating a separate kit for non-M cars would destroy their margins. Their site does not justify the foolishness some people try to pull off with their non-M cars. This thread is now 3 pages deep. Seems the opinions are plentiful and with so many people becoming involved in the conversation it seems the opinions do matter to a certain extent. As to wether or not the owner of this car will go as far as slapping a bunch of M6 parts on his car to complete his fakery, well I wouldn't be surprised. I've seen it plenty of times. In fact, this forum is crawling with people creating threads asking for spare M6 parts for this very purpose.

So basically you're saying, it's ok to have the M6 badge on the front grille and side grille but not ok for it to be on the rear end of the car?

No, I'm saying unfortunately Prior Design does this to avoid the cost of making their own. I think it's still kinda lame.
