M6 GC - why are there so many used ones for sale?

I'm torn between M5 and M6GC as both have pluses and minuses. One itemI find curious is the number of used M6 GC for sale, it far outweighs the number of M5 and M6s. Any idea why?

Where are you looking? I came from an F10 M5 to a M6 GC and i am selling my GC now. Reason for me is a change cars every 6mo-1 yr. not sure why others are for sale out there. Mine has competition package, alpine white and black interior. hit me up if interested

It's the same reason as the guy with the hot girl but cheats on her anyway. We are always looking for better but never realize we have it great already. Just my 2 cents.

^^^
And that's why I'm not gonna cheat on her especially after test driving some high end cars [Huracan & Mac (MP4 & 650s)]

How did you get to test drive a Huracan? Those reps are so much of a pain and arrogant!

Haha... but not when you are showing up behind the wheel of M6
The Newport Lamborghini (and McLaren) has nice sales persons and they are willing to let you test drive the cars if they feel you are willing to get one... So basically I was there for 570s event and ended up to test drive MP4 since 570s is not out there yet... Later on I visited the McLaren Newport again and had chance to test drive both 650s and Huracan back to back...
both fantastic cars with no doubt BUT I missed the M DCT and torque delivery of M6 ( regardless of 800-1000 lb weight difference) when I drove them

I need to move back to So Cal. We don't have any quality dealers here in the Bay. (only 1 maybe 2). I was seriously looking at a 570 but I could never find any love from the dealers. Nor Cal is so use to Prius's, Volts and Teslas, taht the dealers don't trust anyone not in their Rolodex.

I'm suppose to be in Costa Mesa on Tuesday and Wednesday for meetings, maybe I can sneak by your dealer and see what they have to offer. Any recommendation on a rep?

Well I believe the McLaren Newport beach has a 570s in show room; however that car is pre production and just for show. You can go over there or call them and ask for Sydney. She is a very nice SA and hopefully will help you ...

If you cheated on your girl (m6 gc) who would you cheat on her with?
and don't say bugatti, mclaren, ferrari or lambo lets say something slightly more/less but not extreme...

I'm not finding any other sedans in the same class I'd do it with.

For a coupe possibly the new benz s63 coupe...
maybe an audi r8 v10
if i wanted to sacrifice some luxury possibly the new nissan gtr when it comes out next year.
last but not least maybe a porsche 911.
I also debated the hybrid and going for the i8 when i made my m6 purchase but i feel it's still too soon to go that road
and with the i8 something tells me wait for next gen, also i dont like the headlights and the grill, they look weak!

but that's about it, feels like the M6 is really up there in the class/speed/status realm of things.

S63 Coupe is not a sport car at all.. it's so BIG and HEAVY.
Audi R8 V10 and Porsche 911 are not in the same class of M6 Coupe as GT car. Nissan GTR is not (and possibly will not be) a DD street car at all. Even many GTR owners admit it's horrible in term of luxury and comfort...

Overall AMG GTS can be a suit replacement (at least it's not AWD and has very similar DCT manufactured by GETRAG) but again not the same class.

Audi RS 7! The all wheel drive is badass. I was going to get the RS 7 but found the great deal on my M6 GC. I also don't like the interior of the Audi's tehy seem cheap but I could over look that for the RS 7!

That is the only SEDAN in the same league as the M6 GC. All others are over priced or under perform.

I think the CLS63 amg is the exact same
Class as the M6 gran coupe. Yeah one or the other can be better. No doubt it is a competitor for sure

Sure is ... Can get it in AMG 4matic ... Very quick.

Zero to 60 comparison is availible as Is rolling acceleration

Figures should be similar to the E63 AMG in similar setup

AMG 4matic allows for good power deliver to the ground and not much traction control intervention from a dead stop

BUT WE BEAT THIS TOPIC UP IN ANOTHER THREAD

It is all a matter of perspective. There are some who say the current M6 is too fat and not an enthusiasts car and can't wait to see the next generation skinny version ... perhaps wait it out till the next generation is out!

I was talking about MDCT (and not weight) here. You need to test drive those cars to realize what I am talking about the advantages of MDCT..... And as a side note there is no doubt M6 is big and heavy (of course not as big and as heavy as S63 coupe ), but she is still sport car... let's say Sport-Luxury GT car to be exact
BTW, I am waiting for next generation of M6 too

I like m6 gc so much better than m5 it feels so much sportier, inside and outside, when you drive a M5 it's like a regular sedan, so boring and handles worse.

I corrected for you LOL

Well no new ride for me until next August ...
And no big M6 (next generation)for me... hopefully next generation of M6 is about 3900-4000 lb and 186-188" long
600+ HP, 600+ lb-ft and RWD... and of course transaxle configuration

Nice work!!!!

WHAT ... You got something against plus size models.

I'll bet we will need a crowbar and the jaws of life to extract you out of the comfy massaging seats and cabin of a fully loaded current Gen S63 AMG 4matic ... And then strap a 2x4 to your seat to prevent You from Falling in again!!!

Just sayin.

All kidding aside ... I think one could grow on you as your bad weather second fiddle! And thus save risking damage or chips to the M6!!!

HOWEVER ... there may just be another option for a fair weather second fiddle to explore (until BMW M series comes out with an AWD sedan/coupe/GC), I am sure it could come in many colors, trims, and engines ... or it could have all the options possible rolled into one ...

I hope for a lighter beast and more power as well ... Shorter length but same interior size would be great! As for drive ... Rear is PHine as I have a too Much PHat option already

What you going to do till the new ride?
