Had to have a little fun. I actually close the trunk using the camera/logo. It seems very sturdy. Put a few fingers on the B,M and W. I didn't even know about the hand holds inside until I saw this thread. If that's how you open it, then that's how you close it. No clue if this is what they intended. I agree that soft close trunk should be a feature.
