2013 640i Gran Coupe M-Sport exhaust
I picked up a '13 F06 640i M Sport, and I'm planning on upgrading the exhaust to the BMW M Performance Exhaust. I just wanted to confirm that the M-Sport package back in '13 did not come with the M Performance Exhaust already (if it did, it's hugely disappointing).
Thanks all! |

They are different exhausts, the 640i m sport came with a quieter exhaust than the 650 m sport. The m performance exhaust is supposed to make up for that. Below is a random video I found on you tube.

In the 640i the performance exhaust became standard when bmw did the mid cycle facelift. Anything before that its just the standard (quiet)exhaust. And yes, pre-facelift 640s need exhaust work ASAP

If you're unsure what to do, youtube is alot of help. The only downside is that there are not so much 6 series exhaust videos for 640s. So search for n55 335is and f10 535i setups to help you decide. Thats what i did, ended up with a muffler delete. And im super happy with it.

I installed an M-Sport performance exhaust on my 2013 640i GC as my 1st mod. Its a ton better than the standard one.

Had it installed while I was in Denver on business, and picked it up tonight. Love the sound - $1500 well spent. Next step is to tune it. Thinking Dinan, because they are local...
Thanks for the tips. |
