Break-in Service - M6 GC as loaner car + Full day?
Well -- finally got to or will get to 1200 miles this week and made my service appointment... Got a note from dealer that my loaner car will be a M6 GC - not too bad. I actually wanted to wait and no loaner but was advised the service takes a full day? Anyone know what they do during the first service that takes all day?

I'd take their car for a RIP and enjoy the day!

Gotcha - so i don't see this taking the 'day' - most likely due to scheduling cars in/out. I'm not convinced it's actually a MGC ...until I see it in person.

they'll need to do some kind of software update to unlock the car at 1200 miles so yes it does take a handful of hours at the service department's discretion
where are you located? Canada? |

The Launch Control is locked to protect the drivetrain. At break-in service they will unlock it and then you can enjoy the ridiculous Launch Control which is nothing but wheel spinning and lots of sideway and fishtailing...
