The latest forecast says we'll be getting ~6 inches of rain over the next few days.

The news here just reported over 10 inches of rain already in parts of So CA. Be safe.

I hope the people heed the warnings and stay off the road and let the work crew do their job and also not taxing the emergency services by getting into accidents.

Pajamas, coffee and music for me this morning. Happy Monday!

"Epic snowfall"! "70+ cm!" These are terms I hope to never hear!

We're not getting that much where I am but I've been pumping rain water from the back porch to the curb all night.

Storm?

Cloudy, but expecting some rain later today through the Superbowl. Will likely drop snow in the mountains and in Zion NP.

With apologies to those in the Canadian maritimes to our north, I had to put on my sunglasses for this morning's drive to work for the first time in at least two weeks.....

Living here in SoCal even I'm jealous of you right now with all the rain that's coming down. LOL

We received 84cm(33in) of snow in Halifax since Friday along with winds gusting up to 80kmh(50mph). Now it's time to dig out.

I spend half of my Navy life in Halifax (pre 1995) and never seen more than 10 cm (4"). I'm sure it has nothing to do with climate change

My bucket has about 3" since Sunday. I'm only 30-60 miles from places in LA where they got half their yearly total, or more, in 2 days.

We found 3 peeps in the back yard with no hens hovering on Friday, just in time to bring them inside before the rains/cold would have killed them on their own. Now warm and snug and dry with a bright incandescent over their heads, and a lizard rock in a tortilla warmer hanging from the side of the box.

Lelo is black with a white chest.
Stitch is black with a white chest, but a black line running across
Pinky is a white with black strip on head and middle of back

Yes, all mutts Wife thinks Pinky is showing male signs with a bit of tail plumage, but s/he also has newly hairy legs.

Been raining here for more than 2 days. Pumping out the back porch constantly. Luckily I have a spare pump in case this one should fail.

Not a cloud in the sky and 4C. What I remember feb being like as a kid, but certainly not like the last few years!

Mostly sunny forecast here, with a high around 50 F. Drizzle and upper 50's F on Saturday, and then a significant drop into next week.....

Everything is damp, but the clouds cleared overnight. That let the temp drop to mid-40s. THEN, the wind started blowing. I actually pulled the hood up on my parka walking back from the coffee shop to my office around 6:30 <shivers uncontrollably>

Kicking around 10C (50F) with a steady 30kph wind. If it wasn't for the wind it would be perfect jacket-less weather.

Still no snow in the forecast but at least next week will see freezing temperatures again.
