Watched Emily the Criminal last night. Pretty decent movie, Aubrey Plaza’s performance was excellent.

Ya, I hear ya (no pun intended haha). I just can't be bothered nowadays, I haven't used my surround sound sys in ages and just stream stuff online.

Watching Glass Onion. Loved Knives Out and this one is starting out pretty good.

Yes but only 4K UHD DVDs... the quality still seems better than anything off of Netflix 4k HDR or Prime.

The first act of the movie in general was far too long and boring, with the middle of the movie being the best part, as well as Janelle Monae’s fantastic storyline. But towards the end it started getting a bit too hectic and unfocused. I also found the storyline a little less interesting as it feels much less grounded in reality than the first Knives Out movie, which was more focused and had a fantastic commentary on social class as well. This one just felt a bit disjointed and overstuffed, and had some pretty cheese dialogue and writing as well. |

From a Christmas standpoint, we watched "A Christmas Story Christmas".
It was fun, in a nostalgic way. If you liked "A Christmas Story", you'll probably like this one. Fun fact: All of the kids from the first one are the adults in the second one. i.e. they're physically the same people (everyone except the mom-- she's retired from acting). Kind of interesting to see how Flick, Farkus, etc. ended up. R.

Anyway, curiously I thought this was better than the first movie, didn't really think either was all that but I like the 2nd one more.

Well, if there were good parts they need to put some of them at the beginning to keep you involved. I got about halfway through and thought it was utter shite. Was very disappointed, and it starred Brad Pitt, who just won an Academy award in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
