BMW insider Scott26/7 calls this rendition the closest one he has seen for the new upcoming BMW 6-series convertible, minus a few detail differences.

As we reported earlier, BMW NA Chief, Jim O'Donnell recently stated that the next 6-series coupe and convertible will be the "best-looking BMW in years." Judging by this rendition, I believe him.

I bet it won't have the Mercedes-like line in the rear fender.

the lights are nice but the overall front image seems to be to close to the Z4 for my liking. I can see only a few very small tweaks would make it a lot better. The rendering already looks way better than the current 6 series.

And ya I doubt that Mercedes line at the back will stay!

reminds me of a bigger slk or even a cl from mercedes. not sure.

The shape looks similar to the mercedes cl, but in a shorter wheel base. Looks good though.

I imagine the end product will look like a melding of the new Z4 with the 6 series. I'm betting BMW used the same artist (can't remember her name right now) to design the new 6 series as well given the positive reaction to the Z4.

Pretty bland. If you're gonna spend that much on a car they would need to give it some character.
