I have 2018 reg 320i MSport with 110k Miles on clock
I have 2018 reg 320i MSport with 110k Miles on clock. Car has been running great until a couple of days ago when coolant level dropped and engine started heating up. I topped up with 1L of coolant and found it was dripping underneath around area behind engine. It's bad enough that a lot newly poured coolant has leaked and car had to be towed to garage. This is the first time a major issue has appeared and I was reluctant to take it to dealership.
I have taken it to a garage (claiming to be BMW specialist) and they haven't found any evidence of leak in first inspection. They have advised me to remove engine manifold to find the cause. I have looked online and seems to be some issues with pipes that can only be diagnosed after manifold has been removed. Has anyone has any experience with this issue on F30? Some advise will be of great help. |

Pressure testing the cooling system is a minimum first step in my opinion. At that mileage could be something as bad hose or clamp, but it is not something you want to mess around with.
