Crash bar, impact absorber and pedestrian sensor
Hello guys,
Sadly I had an accident in the front which caused damage to the car including the crash bar, I have ordered new parts but the crash bar that I got is a different one, looks like it’s an enforced one because it’s thicker and looks more stronger, now my problem is that on the old one behind the impact absorber sits the pedestrian sensor as you can see in the uploaded pictures, but I couldn’t find anywhere to place the sensor with the new crash bar and impact absorbers, any suggestions? Do I miss anything? Are they wrong parts? Your help is very much needed |

It's a bit unclear what you are saying the issue is. When you say the new one is thicker, are you referring to those thick aluminum "boxes" that are attached with rivets to the new bar? And your old bar did not have those? If you post what part number you ordered, and post the last 7 places of your VIN, I can look up the part number.

So if you go to RealOEM.com and plug in the VIN you gave me it does recognize your car as a European market 640 Gran Coupe made in August 2016. It only lists one crash bar for your car regardless of whether you have MSport bumpers, and the 207 number is correct, so you did order the wrong part. It's not entirely clear what the one you ordered fits. As for the impact absorber, the 349 number is correct IF you have MSport bumpers. If you don't have MSport bumpers, then the one you ordered is correct (although you transposed the last two numbers - it's 87 not 78). Finally, there is a third part you probably need called a front lower mount. That has 2 different numbers depending on whether you have MSport.

It is possible to disable. You have to disconnect the pyro devices on the rear of the hood and on th hood latches. 4 in total. You also need to disconnect all of the pedestrain sensor plugs behoind the bumper. 3 from memory
And then code it out with E SYS. https://www.google.com/search?sca_es...9yTIcIAww,st:0 |

Wait. What??? Are you saying that the system alerts you when you've hit someone? Like that big dent in the hood and grease spot under the wheels isn't a clue? I must be missing something.
